"Winemaker of the Year": is the title won by the Piedmontese Raffaella Bologna of the company Braida, honored at the presentation of the guide 'Italy's best 100 wines and winemakers'.
The text is edited by the Evening Courier signed by journalist Luciano Ferraro and the sommelier Luca Gardini.

Raffaella Bologna is a daughter of art, a third-generation winemaker in the family business. Her father Giacomo, also called "The King of Must," was the man who transformed Barbera.
From his father he learned that happiness is an affair for simple hearts - reads on the page dedicated to her - A cellar full of friends, songs and bottles without thinking about the daily grievances".
This is quite an achievement for Raffaella who, together with her brother Giuseppe, now carries on a family mission, making some wines unique, such as The Brat e The Bricco dell Uccellone.

The work carried out by the Bologna family in the last paved the way for an entire generation of winemakers who have begun to more clearly appreciate the quality of a grape variety that was once considered minor and now identifies so many companies.
The Bricco dell Uccellone, along with other wines, made the history of italian enology, upsetting the most common beliefs about barbera. A quality grape variety that is the fruit, the nectar, of an entire philosophy of life, that of the Bologna family, which has always combined a passion for the wine With respect for the land.
